Christ United Church, affiliated with the Presbyterian Church USA and the United Church of Christ used More Light and Open & Affirming philosophies to adopt a Welcome to All statement for our congregation. Following Jesus' example and teaching, we seek to provide a safe space in which you are accepted and can share your hopes and fears, joys and troubles. We welcome you, regardless of your skin color, ethnicity, or nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital or family status, education, employment status, or income, abilities and limitations, health or addictions, political persuasion or legal status, religion, beliefs, uncertainty, or skepticism. We treasure God's gift of diversity and welcome you to our community of faith in which we celebrate our common traits and the precious differences that make each of us unique.

Our Sunday gatherings include a welcome, songs - both instrumental and vocal, responsive readings, a time to greet one another, prayers – silent and spoken out loud, a reading, a message, an opportunity to give, a closing blessing and sometimes communion.

You are invited to participate in all of it or none of it as your comfort level allows. Our hope is you will find a worshipful experience.

More than just babysitting, we provide a safe environment for the spiritual growth of our children. Our nursery and Sunday school volunteers receive background checks and are trained to work with kids from infancy through sixth grade.

Those who attend Christ United Church have a variety of ways they dress on Sunday mornings. Jeans are just as prevalent as slacks or skirts. You are welcome to come as you are!!!
